Mya Melrose is an upcoming female rap artist, fashion designer, model, & entrepreneur based out of Raleigh, North Carolina. Making her way onto the scene like no other—with a style and essence, of a west coast-Houston flow blend--her music sets you in a nostalgic, dreamy-like state that automatically takes you into another zone.
This “soft ghetto “melodic energy she brings through her music makes it easy to understand why the hottest rapper in the game crowned her as the first lady of Freebandz. After signing to Future’s record label in 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia, Melrose released her first project Zone : Issue 93 Fusing soft tones and witty lyrics on to full 808, chopped & screwed, trippy style beats. Gently pulling you in with sensual word play, saying just enough but not too much.
From directing, shooting, editing her visuals, to designing for her clothing line Vrose Vior or giving back to her community, this young entrepreneur is just getting started. Producing new sounds off a new wave for her second EP Kush n Roses (Sneak peek-LISTEN HERE) set to release April 20, 2017 along with new visuals and tour dates announced.
